'A process of respite' is an ongoing project. The images are shot on dry plates made from recycled glass, using a large format camera. They are developed in a plant developer made up of plants collected at the photographed locations and food waste.

This process is innately slow and experimental, every print is unique and irreproducible. The visible cuts, marks, and crackling patterns are all unpredictable results of this method. These elements have shaped this project as I've had to surrender to the process, taking on a more open and exploratory approach.

This challenges both the current pace at which artists and creatives are expected to produce new work, and the overwhelming quantity of images that surround us in an urban environment like London.
